Orchids

I have been interested in orchids for quite a number of years but it wasn't until about 1996/97 that I really got more focused and more studied. I continued this in 2001/02 and was the orchid specialist at OSH. At that time I knew about the more common species of orchids being sold. It was the orchid Miltonidium Pupukea Sunset ( a wonderful and prolific bloomer! ) as well as a picture of a miniature Laelia next to a pair of bi-focals that got me started looking into hybrids, species orchids and miniatures. The quest was on! I didn't have much luck at that time finding mini orchids and what I refer to as miniatures is plants with petals no longer than 3 to 4 inches and flowers smaller than 1/4 inch. I did find a few mini or smaller Phalenopsis as well as a couple small Oncidiums. Over the next several years I would come across a find here and there and until recently thanks to the internet and S.F. wonderfully huge orchid show I have finally found my source for minis!

I will be adding photos as I can process them into my pc and keep updates as well as plant information.
